SHADOWING
Have you ever sat down to take a test for which you hadn’t studied? It’s a terrible feeling. Your stomach gets butterflies and you think about all the things you did instead of study! Don’t let that be how you feel the first day of high school. You need to do your homework—you need to study all the options before you decide. Shadowing a student for a day is an excellent way to make sure that you will fit in at your new school. Here at Holy Cross we welcome you to spend a day with us!
Shadowing at Holy Cross is a way to experience what it is like to be a part of our family. Shadowing is available the entire year to an 8th grader or a student who is considering transferring to Holy Cross High School. In the Spring we welcome any 7th grader to shadow here at Holy Cross. Shadowing is an opportunity to experience a typical day at Holy Cross High School. If you are currently attending another high school and are considering transferring to Holy Cross a parent or guardian must speak with the Director of Admissions prior to the shadow day.
¨ Visitations are only allowed when the school of the visiting student is not in session unless special permission from the school is given.
¨ Student visitors must dress in a manner appropriate for school. Dress clothes are required. Grade School uniforms are acceptable (No jeans)
¨ Requests for specific Holy Cross students to shadow are considered, but will not always be granted.
¨ Shadow students must be on their best behavior. They will be going to an actual class with their escort; nonsense will not be tolerated.
