Holy Cross Athletics

Welcome to Holy Cross Athletics! Holy Cross High School offers 24 sports including 12 for boys and 12 for girls. The vision for the Athletic Department is to offer a wide array of athletic opportunities so that our student-athletes can become involved and to provide our student-athletes with the best experience possible. We have tried to provide that through an apparel partnership with the world-renowned brand Nike, live streaming of campus home games through NFHS, and the renovations of our outdoor athletic complex which began in the Summer of 2022. We have student-athletes that have continued their careers at both the collegiate and professional levels but encourage students of all skill and experience levels to participate in sports.` I truly believe that representing your school in athletic competition is one of the greatest feelings that your child will ever experience. We have achieved incredible success at Holy Cross including 7 KHSAA State and 9 All ‘A’ State Championships. This consistent success can be attributed to hard-working young men and women, committed coaches, and an incredibly supportive community.
I am truly blessed with an amazing staff in the Athletic Department including my Assistant Athletic Director Stefanie Williams, Athletic Department Intern Kyle Hardesty, and Strength and Conditioning Coach Kendall Hammerstrom who works with all of our teams and athletes. In 2020, the Athletic Department entered a Partnership with UofL Health to provide Holy Cross Athletics with a full-time Athletic Trainer (AT). Billy Burns has been with us since the summer of 2020 and has done an incredible job of keeping our athletes healthy and safe.
This is the most exciting time in the history of Holy Cross High School and Cougar Athletics. We would love for you to join our Cougar Family! As always, Go Cougs and Cross is Boss!
