Cougars Coming Together
Dear Alumni and Friends,
First and foremost, I want you to know that all of us at Holy Cross are praying for each and every one of you who may be experiencing difficulties during this challenging time. It is at times like these that we must come together as a community to remain focused on our mission. The students at Holy Cross need your support now more than ever! These young men and women are working hard to remain on track with their rigorous curriculum while working from home. Our amazing faculty is providing instruction through on-line school each day to make sure that our students are not only successful academically, but that they continue to grow spiritually, physically and emotionally.
As we attempt to reach our 2020-2021 Annual Fund goal of $315,000 along with the $150,000 budgeted for the postponed Maroon and Grey Gala, we now find ourselves in need of an additional $10,000 as a result of the Covid-19 Crisis.
Within the last few days, we have become aware of several families with students at Holy Cross who are carrying legitimate and deep financial burdens that have occurred directly due to this crisis. Each of these families and their children are engaged Holy Cross families, and we delight in having them in our school.
Because of these financial hardships, these particular families are in need of an additional $10,000 to bridge the gap in tuition. We have set up an Emergency Relief Fund so that these students can remain part of the Holy Cross Community.
Throughout our school there is an overwhelming sense of "home" and "family." This theme is echoed by our students, our faculty and our staff. For over fifty years, Angela Merici, Bishop David and Holy Cross have provided an excellent, faith-based education and a second home for almost 9,000 men and women in our community. There is no better time than during this unexpected crisis to show what our extraordinary community is capable of!
Even if you have already donated to the Annual Fund, please help us ensure we can continue to provide this same sense of "home" to those Holy Cross families in greatest need. If you have not yet made your gift, we hope that you consider this cause worthy of your donation.
Together in Christ,
