Capital Campaign

The Capital Campaign focuses on three pillars of the Holy Cross experience:

  • Renovation of academic facilities
The first phase of the campaign included renovation of the entire interior of the building over the past three years. The phase was completed this summer with the renovation of the first floor, including the cafeteria and addition of a fabrication lab and makerspace. Additional building renovations include new flooring in all classrooms, new windows, new ptac units, drop ceilings with projectors and surround sound in all classrooms, and new doors.

  • Increasing the amount of financial aid available
The next phase of the Campaign will focus on increasing the amount of financial aid available or qualified students. Over half of the student body currently qualifies for financial assistance and increase in available funds will allow more families to be able to comfortably afford a Catholic education for their child.

  • Addition/renovation of the existing Athletic Complex
Over 82% of our student population are athletes and will benefit greatly from state-of-the art athletic facilities within the next few years. Renovation of the outdoor Athletic Complex will include new entrance and gathering plaza, bleachers compliant with code, shared concessions/restroom/storage facility for entire athletic complex and adequate locker room space for all outdoor girls and boys sports.
 

 

Imagine Holy Cross High School in the year 2025 – it is not that far away, and things could look a lot different than they do today.  A vibrant and diverse student body with 300 students, a campus that is energy efficient and aesthetically appealing, educational programs that are innovative and preparing students for the future, and a comprehensive stakeholder community who encircle the school with support.

Already a leader in Serving, Teaching and Growing student leaders of great faith, Holy Cross has the opportunity now to set the stage for establishing itself beyond being the region’s only co-educational Catholic school to being among Greater Louisville’s premiere secondary schools.  A place where dedicated and professional faculty and staff work daily with the local business community to provide real world learning to a curious, diverse and success-driven student body.

It’s not as far away as you might think … in fact, most of what is needed to inspire to this vision is already happening right here and every day of the school week, in and out of school.  But we need some help and your aspirational investment to help make sure we get where we need to go.
