As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the merger of Angela Merici and Bishop David and the birth of Holy Cross High School, I am proud to introduce its next instructional leader in the role of principal.
Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year Ms. Shelly Pence will take the reins of leading the faculty in its commitment to spiritual, academic, social, physical and emotional growth for every student. Ms. Pence earned her BA from the University of Louisville, her M.A.T. in Secondary Education from Bellarmine University and her M.A.Ed. in School Administration from Bellarmine University. Ms. Pence is a 1993 graduate of Holy Cross High School and has served in various positions during her 14 years on the Holy Cross staff including Assistant Principal, Christian Service Coordinator and most recently the Director of Corporate Internship.
Joining Ms. Pence will be two Holy Cross Assistant Principals: Mr. Jody Thornsberry, Dean of Students and Mr. Kendall Hammerstrom, Dean of Academics.
