Transfer Students

Transfer Process & Protocol

      1. All transfer inquiries must be processed through the Enrollment Coordinator.
      2. The Enrollment Coordinator communicates with the family and collects all transcript and testing information.  If the family desires for the student to shadow the Enrollment Coordinator will place the potential transfer with a current student in the same grade and academic level to shadow for the day.
      3. After shadowing the family will need to complete the application in FACTS
      4. Once the student has applied for admission to Holy Cross the Dean of Academics will review the application.  Upon review if the student is in good academic standing, the Enrollment Coordinator will schedule an interview with the family, the Dean of Academics, and the Dean of Students.
      5. During the interview the Enrollment Coordinator will serve as the host/liaison between the transfer family and Holy Cross Administration.  The Dean of Students will discuss student expectations such as Catholic Identity, behavior, involvement, procedures, uniform, handbook, and the Guild System.  The Dean of Academics will discuss student scheduling, curriculum, testing, internship program, and grading system.
      6. After the interview the administration will determine if the student is accepted, and the Enrollment Coordinator will send an official acceptance letter to the family including enrollment process in the FACTS student management system and the financial aid application in the FACTS financial aid system.

      7. The Enrollment Coordinator also works with the family to ensure they have completed all the necessary enrollment steps and have all the information for uniforms and handbook agreement forms.
      8. Once the student is enrolled the Enrollment Coordinator communicates with all parties (principal, assistant principals, finance office, technology coordinator, internship director, and main office administrative assistant) to ensure that all parties are aware of the enrollment.
      9. After these processes have been completed the Dean of Academics will enter the student schedule in the FACTS student management system and communicate with all teachers and GAB advisor for the new addition to the class (if this transfer takes place during the academic year).  The Dean of Students will ensure that an orientation is completed with the new student including technology, internship, athletics and procedures.
      10. After fully enrolling in Holy Cross High School, the main office administrative assistant will request the official transcript from the sending school and add these courses into the Holy Cross transcript.

**Please note that students cannot transfer in between the months of October-December and February-May unless special arrangements have been made with the President.
